Traffic Surprises

For a while now, we had been thinking about getting a nice wrap for the van we use to restock each location, to make it an official part of the family with a name and everything. So last month, we actually managed to put this plan into action and dolled it up nicely with custom messages, our logo, and contact info. We figured that since it roams through traffic every single day, someone might get curious and visit our website (btw, thanks for being here and reading this message). We had no way of knowing that those contact details would actually come in handy so soon!

About two or three days after wrapping the van, we suddenly woke up to a flood of messages across all our platforms: Facebook, email, Google Business, Instagram, everywhere we could possibly be contacted—including phone calls (even though we didn't put a phone number on the car).

Everyone was alerting us to the fact that our new delivery van had been hit by a careless driver, who was caught in the act. Seeing so many people trying to report the damage to us, people who took time out of their day to write to us, people who were genuinely concerned and wished us an easy fix... we were deeply and pleasantly surprised! We completely forgot about the hassle of dealing with the paperwork to sort out the "accident." We saw that solidarity exists, that people care about what happens around them, and we were thrilled to offer everyone who reported the incident a burger on the house. At least that way we could thank them in person! Some of them have already dropped by to enjoy a good burger, and for those who haven't had the chance to visit us yet so we can treat them, we are still waiting for you! 😛

Keep doing good deeds wherever you are, and help those around you. One way or another, the good you do will be rewarded. But above all, drive safely! The road is safe if we all make sure rules matter! #besafe #thankyou
p.s. if you spot us in traffic, wave to say hi! 😀
